     Jacob Myers was born in 1808; and he has been described as being 'of Winchester, later of Birmingham.2,3,4'

He married Juliana Aaron on 26 February 1840 at The Synagogue, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England; and their marriage was recorded at Birmingham Registration district in the March quarter 1840; they are believed to have had in all nine children.3,5,4

Jacob Myers appeared on the census of 6 June 1841 at Lymington, Hampshire, England, as age 30, not born in the county, and he was a Jeweller; he was living with his wife and 5 month old Alfred.6 He was listed in The Post Office Directory of Birmingham, 1867 as:

     'Smallbrook st: 94 Myers Jacob, wholesale jeweller.7'

He died on 11 October 1870 at Warwickshire, England; and his death was registered in December 1870 at Birmingham Registration district, at age 57.8,9,10 His estate was probated on 16 November 1870; and proved at Birmingham Registry with his wife as his executrix.10
