Over the years it has been home to a number of artists and sculptors including: Thomas Bowie during his first term as Director of Sculpture at the Ontario College of Art. (from 1953-1960).^9,10'

Thomas Taylor Bowie was listed on the Incoming to the UK Passenger List for The Cunard Steamship Co. Ltd. After Dad came to Canada, P[ilkington]-J[ackson] got the commission to do the Robert the Bruce monument at Bannockburn. He brought Dad back to Scotland for one summer to do that sculpture - so although the official artist is P[ilkington]-J[ackson], it was actually Dad who did the entire thing. At that time Dad was the head of the Sculpture Department at the Ontario College of Art in Toronto.¹²'
