      Alfred Reginald Judd was also known as Reg or Reginald.^4,5 He was born on 29 March 1890 at 73 Great Peter Street, Westminster, London, England; and his birth was recorded in the June quarter 1890 at St George Hanover Square Registration District.^{6,3,7,8,9,10,11} He was the son of Arthur Judd and Ada Susannah Nokes.³ Alfred Reginald Judd was baptized on 1 June 1890 at St Stephen, Rochester Row, London, England.¹¹ He appeared on the census of 5 April 1891 at 73 Great Peter Street, Westminster, London, England, as Son, age 1, birthplace Westminster, London.¹²

At the time of their marriage both the bride and groom gave as their address 89 Glengall Road, Kilburn (London, NW6) and Alfred's rank or profession was 'Billiard Marker' [who is 'a person who attends on players at billiards and records the progress of the game']. Their witnesses were R L Sanders and A M Sanders.^16,17,18,19 Alfred Reginald Judd was photographed in Great War Army uniform. On the reverse was written: '... What do you think of Reg, not bad is it....' It is not possible from the photograph to decide if his Cap badge is the same as that of either of his brothers William Stephen John Judd or Arthur Stanley Judd to discover if they were in the same regiment between 1914 and 1918.²⁰ He began military service between 1914 and 1918, he served in Great War and would have been entitled to the Victory Medal and the War Medal.

The letter says Harold Vincent Pollard had advised 'us that [HB Macculloch] had agreed to collect..'. this.^30,16,31,32 Harold Vincent Pollard MBE left a will on 13 March 1977; and he gave the letters after his name as: 'MBE, C.Eng., F.I.Mech.E.⁷' He died on 21 March 1977 at Green Road, Thorpe, Surrey, England, at age 82; this was two years to the day since his wife had died and his death was registered in the March quarter 1977 at North West Surrey Registration district, and he was given on his Death Certificate as a Mechanical Engineer (Retired).³³
