Lois Merline Stowell was born circa 25 February 1930 at New Zealand.1 She was the daughter of Edgar Gordon Stowell and May Rebecca Primmer.1 Lois Merline Stowell married George Robert Burling on 12 April 1952 at New Zealand.1 Lois Merline Stowell died on 5 July 2021 at Canterbury, New Zealand.3 She was the subject of an obituary as follows: 'BURLING, Lois Merline (née Stowell): Passed peacefully with the love of her family around her, on July 5, 2021, in Christchurch, aged 90 years. Loved wife of the late Bob Burling, loved mother of Cheryl and Alan Townley, Peter and Christine, Deborah and Ron Reedy, Kaye and Tim, grandma of Tom, Susan and David, Katherine, Margaret and Andrew; Nick and Maddy, Sam; Alexia and Nick, Te Uira, and Christina, great-grandma to Locky, Jack and Lucy, and Mac. Grateful thanks to the staff at Anthony Wilding, and Dr. Jacobs for their care and support. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Lois Burling, c/o PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. A Funeral Service for Lois will be held in Saint Mary's Anglican Church, 329 Halswell Road, Halswell, Christchurch, on July 24, at 11.30am, interment thereafter in the Churchyard Cemetery' at Canterbury, New Zealand.3 She was buried on 24 July 2021 at St Mary, Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand.3
