     Emanuel Levy Jones was born on 29 September 1837 at 2 Nicholas Street, Chester, Cheshire, England, and his birth was registered in the December quarter 1837 at Great Boughton Registration district and in Liverpool Old Hebrew Congregation Birth Register.1,2,3 He was the son of Henry Micholls Jones and Brinah L Levy.1 Emanuel Levy Jones appeared on the census of 6 June 1841 at Nicholas Street, St Martin, Chester, Cheshire, England, as age 4, birthplace Cheshire.4 He appeared on the census of 30 March 1851 at Mardol Head, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England, as Son, age 13, birthplace Chester, Cheshire, and he was a Scholar.5 He appeared on the census of 7 April 1861 at Prospect Street, Sculcoates, Yorkshire, England, as Lodger, unmarried, age 23, birthplace Chester, Cheshire, and he was a 'Surgical and Mechanical Dentist.6' He was listed in 'The Post Office Directory of Lincolnshire, 1868 at Great Grimsby as:

     'Jones Emanuel Levy, surgeon dentist (attending every friday from 12½ noon to 5 p.m.), 1 Victoria street west & at Hull' in 1868.7 He was listed in 'Post Office Directory of Monmouthshire & South Wales, 1871' as follows:

in 1871.8 He appeared on the census of 2 April 1871 at 11 Story Street, Sculcoates, Yorkshire, England, as Head, unmarried, age 33, birthplace Chester, and he was a Surgeon Dentist, living with his Sister Emily and a General Domestic Servant.1

He was probably the 'Son' listed in Swansea in 'Mercer & Crocker's General, Topographical and Historical Directory for the Counties of Monmouthshire, Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, and the Principal Towns of Glamorganshire and Radnorshire 1876' as follows:

in 1876.9 He died on 8 December 1886 at England at age 49; and his death was recorded at Beverley Registration district, East Riding of Yorkshire, in the December quarter 1886, at age 48.10,11 He was buried after 8 December 1886 at Dehli Street Cemetery, Hull, Yorkshire, England; and he is recorded as unmarried.11,12
