     Frank Brian Robert Ryde was born on 20 January 1925 at Surrey, England; and his birth was recorded at Croydon Registration district in the March quarter 1925.^1,2 He was the son of Frank Ryde and Rose Jane Mansfield.¹ Frank Brian Robert Ryde lived on 29 September 1939 at Surrey, England; where he was on the 1939 Register in the Croydon area.³ He married Olive Pauline Saunders in 1957 at Surrey, England; and their marriage was recorded at Surrey North Eastern Registration district in the September quarter 1957.⁴ Frank Brian Robert Ryde died in 1992 at Kent, England; and his death was recorded at Bromley Registration district in December 1992.²

     Richard Edward Philip Ranson was born on 10 November 1876 at Helston, Cornwall, England; and his birth was recorded at Helston Registration district in the December quarter 1876.^2,4,5 He was the son of Richard Neal Ranson and Sophia Ann Benham.¹ Richard Edward Philip Ranson was baptized on 21 January 1877 at Porthleven, Cornwall, England; and the family lived at Gunwalloe where his father was a Coastguard.⁶      He appeared on the census of 3 April 1881 at Fishing Cove, Gunwalloe, Cornwall, England, as Son, age 4, birthplace Gunwalloe, Cornwall.¹ He appeared on the census of 31 March 1901 at Vessels: 'Impregnable', Cornwall, England, as Navy Men, 'Petty Officer 2nd', age 24,single, birthplace Helston, Cornwall.³ He died on 1 February 1955 at Liskeard, Cornwall, England, at age 78; and his death was recorded at Liskeard Registration district in the March quarter 1955.^7,8 His estate was probated on 1 March 1955; and he was of Saltash, Cornwall; Probate was granted to his Niece Phyllis Maud Whell, widow.⁸

     James Downie was born in 1815 at Linlithgow, West Lothian, Scotland.^1,2 He was the son of Robert Downie and Elizabeth Balcanqual.² James Downie married Elizabeth Bowie, daughter of Hugh Bowie and Isobel Morhead Davison, on 28 April 1837 at Linlithgow, West Lothian, Scotland.¹ James Downie appeared on the census of 6 June 1841 at High Street, Linlithgow, West Lothian, Scotland, as age 20, birthplace West Lothian, Scotland, and he was a 'Shoe M'. He was living with his Wife, Elizabeth and Children Robert and Isabella.³ He appeared on the census of 30 March 1851 at High Street, Linlithgow, West Lothian, Scotland, (Transcribed as Dunie) as age 35, birthplace Linlithgow, West Lothian, and he was a 'Shoemaker (journeyman)'. His 'family members' were his Wife and four children.⁴ He appeared on the census of 7 April 1861 at High Street, Linlithgow, West Lothian, Scotland, as Head, 'age 66', birthplace Linlithgow, West Lothian, and he was a Shoe Maker. He was living with his Wife, Elizabeth, children Isabella, Hugh, John and Allison, plus his 'Great Grandchild (Grandchild)' John Downie, age 8 months and born in Linlithgow.⁵ He died on 30 January 1870 at Linlithgow, West Lothian, Scotland.^2,6

      Robert Downie was also known as Robert Dounie.² He was born circa 1785 at West Lothian, Scotland; and his parents were Clephan Downie and Mary Baxter.^1,3,4 He married Elizabeth Balcanqual on 21 January 1807 at Linlithgow, West Lothian, Scotland; and christening records for Linlithgow provide information that they had Alexander (1808), John (1809), William (1816) and William (1818). The Latter Day Saints Ancestral File also includes: Robert (c1813), James (c1815), David (c1821), Ebenezer (1825), Elizabeth (1831), and Andrew (1828).^2,1,5,6,7 Robert Downie appeared on the census of 6 June 1841 at High Street, Linlithgow, West Lothian, Scotland, as age 56, birthplace West Lothian, Scotland, and he was a Weaver. 'Other family members' were Elizabeth (c 1785) and Robert (1816), David (1823), Ebenezer (1826), Elizabeth (1831) and 'Audine' [Andrew] (c 1829).³ He appeared on the census of 30 March 1851 at West Port, Linlithgow, West Lothian, Scotland, as Head, married, age 71, birthplace Linlithgow, West Lothian, and he was a 'Pauper Formerly Weaver'. Also in the household were Annie McLain, age 30, and Anne Potter, age 6 months.⁹ She died on 15 February 1869 at Linlithgow, West Lothian, Scotland, at age 83.⁴

     Alfred Hillatt Brooks was born on 4 June 1818 at England.¹ He was the son of Walter Brooks and Elizabeth (?).^1,2 Alfred Hillatt Brooks was christened on 4 December 1818 at St Mary, Rotherhithe, London, England.¹ He married Blanche Rosa Coleman on 3 May 1845 at Calcutta, Bengal, India.³ Alfred Hillatt Brooks and Blanche Rosa Coleman had a daughter Blanche Eliza Louisa Brooks born on 14 November 1847, in Calcutta, Bengal, India she married Fortescue Willoughby Porter (1846-1927) and died in 1930.^3,4,5 Alfred Hillatt Brooks and Blanche Rosa Coleman had a son named Alfred Walter Moir Brooks born on 26 October 1848 and Baptised in Bengal, Calcutta, India, on 22 April 1849.⁶ Alfred Hillatt Brooks and Blanche Rosa Coleman had a daughter named Maria Ellen Brooks born on 4 April 1851 and Baptised in Agra, Bengal, India, on 10 April 1851.⁶ Alfred Hillatt Brooks was appeared in The London Gazette published on the 26 December 1851' in the following item:

     'In the Matter of Alfred Hillatt Brooks, residing at the Calcutta Club, No. 9, Chowringhee-road, in Calcutta, carrying on business in Calcutta as a Ship and Freight Broker, an Insolvent. Notice, that the Petition of the said Insolvent, seeking the benefit of the Act 11 Vic., cap. 21, was filed in the office of the Chief Clerk on Wednesday, the 13th day of February instant, and by an Order of the same date the estate and effects of the said Insolvent were vested in the Official Assignee.—T. Owen, Attorney. Date of Gazette containing notice, February 20, 1867.¹⁰'

He was was the subject of an item which appeared in The London Gazette published on the 5 July 1867' from the 'India Office, July 2, 1867':

     'In the Matter of Alfred Hillatt Brooks, an Insolvent. On Saturday, the 4th day of May instant, it was ordered that the petition of the said Insolvent seeking for relief under the Act 11 Vic., cap. 2 I, be dismissed; but this order is not to affect or annul any act or thing heretofore done by the Official Assignee : and it was also ordered that the said Assignee do deliver over to the said Insolvent all the estate and effects, monies, goods, books, and papers now remaining in the hands of the said Assignee, belonging to the estate of the said Insolvent, after deducting therefrom his commission and all lawful charges incurred by him. —Owen, Attorney. Date of Gazette containing notice, May 15, 1867.¹¹'

He made a Will in 1868 and deposited it at The Oriental Bank Corporation in London. He was described as being 'of Calcutta, India'. It is now in The National Archives under 'Records Supreme Court of Judicature (Re Companies Act 1862-1867)' deposited by the Liquidator on 24 February 1897 as 'remaining unclaimed.¹²'

He died on 14 April 1879 at Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England, at age 60; and his death was registered in the June quarter 1879 at Cheltenham Registration district, at age 60.^13,4,14

He was the subject of an obituary in the London Evening Standard as 'late of Calcutta, aged 60' on 23 April 1879.¹⁴ His estate was probated; and The 1879 National Probate Calendar reads 'The Will and two Codicils of Alfred Hillatt Brooks late of 7 Imperial-square Cheltenham in the County of Gloucester gentleman who died 14 April 1879 at 7 Imperial-square was proved at the Principal Registry by Walter George Brooks of 13 Chantrey-road Stockwell-road in the County of Surrey Gentleman the Brother and Fortescue Willoughby Porter of 4 Imperial-square in the Bengal Civil Service the Executors.⁴' He left a will on 28 November 1893; A footnote concerning his Will appeared in The London Gazette Issue 26462 published on the 28 November 1893:

     'In the High Court of Justice.—Chancery Division. In the Matter of the Companies Acts, 1862 and 1867, and in the Matter of the Oriental Bank Corporation. WHEREAS there are now deposited in, London and certain branches of the abovenamed Corporation, various securities and other documents which have not been applied for by the persons in whose names they were so deposited. Notice is hereby given, that unless, application is received and a satisfactory title to them made out, the Liquidator will, after the expiration of six months, proceed to apply to the High Court of Justice, for an Order to deposit such securities, &c., in Court, or as the Court may direct. The securities so deposited in London, are standing in the names of ... Alfred Hillatt Brooks...      Walter Williamson Brooks was christened on 7 March 1817 at St Mary, Rotherhithe, London, England.² He was the son of Walter Brooks and Elizabeth (?).¹ Walter Williamson Brooks died on 25 July 1817.¹

     Emma Brooks was born on 22 July 1825.¹ She was the daughter of Walter Brooks and Elizabeth (?).¹ Emma Brooks was christened on 19 August 1825 at St Mary, Rotherhithe, London, England.¹ She died on 15 April 1826.¹

      Her married name was Robinson.² Blanche Lilian Elsie Simmons was born in 1911 at Staffordshire, England; and her birth was recorded at Wolverhampton Registration district in the March quarter 1911.¹ She was the daughter of Lucy Simmons. Blanche Lilian Elsie Simmons appeared on the census of 2 April 1911 at 122 March End, Wednesfield, Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, England, as Blanche L E Simmons/Hargrave, Granddaughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Simmons, age 3 months, birthplace Wednesfield, Staffordshire.³ She died on 30 April 2016 at Lancashire, England; and her death was recorded at Lancashire Registration district in the June quarter 2016.^4,5

     Frederick Tilt Brooks was born on 22 December 1827.¹ He was the son of Walter Brooks and Elizabeth (?).¹ Frederick Tilt Brooks was christened on 23 January 1828 at St Mary, Rotherhithe, London, England.¹ He died in 1881; and his death was registered in the June quarter 1881 at Lewisham Registration district, London, at age 51.²

     Thomas Henry Albert Hargrave was born on 21 November 1878 at Birmingham, Warwickshire, England; and his birth was recorded at Aston Registration district in the December quarter 1878.^2,1,3,4 He married Elizabeth Simmons, daughter of Thomas Simmons and Elizabeth Shaw, in 1902 at Staffordshire, England; and their marriage was recorded and indexed as Thomas Hargrave and Elizabeth Simmons, at Wolverhampton Registration district in the December quarter 1902.⁵ Thomas Henry Albert Hargrave lived on 31 July 1903 at March End, Wednesfield, Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, England; and he was a Locksmith at the time of his son Harold Thomas Hargrove's baptism.⁶ He lived on 19 January 1908 at 124 March End, Wednesfield, Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, England; and he was a Locksmith at the time of his daughter Lucy Elizabeth Hargrove's baptism.⁶ He appeared on the census of 2 April 1911 at 27 Walsall Road, Willenhall, Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, England, as Thomas Hargrave, Head, married, age 32, birthplace Birmingham, and he was a Rim Lock Maker. His wife and two children completed the household.² He lived on 24 August 1913 at 152 Walsall Road, Willenhall, Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, England; on the occasion of his son Albert Hargrove's Baptism.⁶ He lived in 1934 at 40 St James's Avenue, Spelthorne, Surrey, England.⁷ He and Elizabeth Simmons lived on 29 September 1939 at 9 Sherwood Road, Twickenham, Middlesex, England; where they were on the 1939 Register and he was a Commission Agent.³ Thomas Henry Albert Hargrave died on 3 October 1975 at 9 Sherwood Road, Hampton Hill, Middlesex, England, at age 96; and his death was recorded at Richmond upon Thames Registration district in the December quarter 1975.^8,4

      Her married name was Bazeley.³ Amy Amelia Hargrove was born on 19 November 1910 at Wednesfield, Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, England; and her birth as Amy Amelia Hargrave, was recorded at Wolverhampton Registration district in the December quarter 1908.^1,2,4 She was the daughter of Thomas Henry Albert Hargrave and Elizabeth Simmons.¹ Amy Amelia Hargrove appeared on the census of 2 April 1911 at 27 Walsall Road, Willenhall, Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, England, as Daughter, age 4 months, birthplace Wednesfield, Staffordshire.¹ She lived in 1934 at 40 St James's Avenue, Spelthorne, Surrey, England.⁵ She married Edward Charles Bazeley in 1936 at Middlesex, England; and their marriage was recorded at Staines Registration district in the September quarter 1936.⁶ Amy Amelia Hargrove lived on 29 September 1939 at 9 Sherwood Road, Twickenham, Middlesex, England; where she was on the 1939 Register as an Office Filing Clerk.⁷ She died in 2004 at Surrey, England; and her death was recorded at Surrey Northern Registration district in the June quarter 2004.⁸

     Harold Thomas Hargrove was born on 8 July 1903 at Staffordshire, England; and his birth, was recorded at Wolverhampton Registration district in the September quarter 1903.^1,2,3 He was the son of Thomas Henry Albert Hargrave and Elizabeth Simmons.¹ Harold Thomas Hargrove was baptized on 31 July 1903 at St Anne, Willenhall, Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, England; by W.
