Edward James Elliott Cowell (1864-1946) and Eliza Nits Mosely (c1866-1946).1,2 She was born on 29 March 1900 at Exmouth, Devon, England; and her birth was recorded as 'Female Cowell' at St Thomas Registration district in the June quarter 1900.2,1,3 She appeared on the census of 31 March 1901 at The Moorings, Littleham, Devon, England, as Betty V Cowell, Daughter, age 11 months, birthplace Exmouth, Devon, and she was living with her mother Mrs E Nita Cowell, Head, and her brother Jocelyn G Cowell, age 2.2 She appeared on the census of 2 April 1911 at St Thomas, Devon, England, as Boarder, age 11, birthplace Devon.4 As of 30 January 1919, her married name was Sweet.5,6 She married Lee Parke Sweet on 30 January 1919 at St Cuthbert, Kensington, London, England; and their marriage was recorded at Kensington Registration district in the March quarter 1919.
