He emigrated on 5 April 1928 from Liverpool, Lancashire, England; and he arrived at St John, New Brunswick, Canada, on 14 April 1928, sailing on the Minnedosa. The Passenger List records he was age 17, birthplace Presteigne, Wales, occupation Farming. His Employer was 'Mr Walter Powell, Adanac, Sask.' His nearest relative was his 'father, Mr J. Vaughan, of Old Radnor, Kingston' and he had '£6/10/-'.5 He married Doris Nellie Eileen Elsie Wheeler, daughter of Alfred Thomas Wheeler and Elsie Mary Elizabeth Fosberry, on 19 November 1939 at Lansing, Ontario, Canada; and they are believed to have had six children.1 Victor Cosmo Vaughan served during World War II as Service number R-146736 in the R.C.A.F. from which he was honourably discharged between 11 December 1941 and 21 August 1945.6 He died on 4 September 1987 at Toronto, York, Ontario, Canada, at age 77.1
