They had been permanently resident in 'Br. India' and intended to permanently reside in England on 5 March 1934.³ He left England for Singapore, Malaya in 1940.⁴ He married Anne Probyn Jones in 1954 at Malaya.⁵ John Angus Patrick Christopher Coles was executor for his mother and Administration was granted at London to 'John Angus Coles captain H.M. army and Jenifer Mary Sidney Coles spinster' on 12 February 1959.⁶ He was executor to his grandmother and the National Probate Calendar for 1963 records: 'MYER Lucille Blanche otherwise Lucille or SYDNEY Lucille' was 'of 69 Eton Rise London N.W.3. widow' and Probate was granted at London 'to John Angus Coles captain H.M. army' on 22 July 1963.⁶ He died on 18 March 2011 at Andorra at age 80.¹ He was the subject of an obituary in The Yorkshire Post: 'much loved husband of Janet (nee Middleton)' on 2 April 2011.⁷

      Her married name was Coles.¹ Anne Probyn Jones was born on 19 September 1927 at Hampstead, London, England.^1,2,3 She married John Angus Patrick Christopher Coles, son of Ronald Angus Coles and Beryl Lucille Alex Myer, in 1954 at Malaya.¹ Anne Probyn Jones arrived at Southampton, England, sailing on the Empire Trooper with her daughter, from Singapore, with an address in the UK of High Seas, South Cliff, Bexhill-on-Sea, Sussex.
