He married Elizabeth Hone, daughter of John Hone and Frances (?), on 19 May 1678 at Bisley, Surrey, England; John described as of Horsell and Elizabeth as otp.1 John Tickner was a Yeoman on 30 May 1710. He left a will on 30 May 1710; and a full transcript reads:
