Taylor presided at the organ. During the signing of the register a solo was rendered by Miss Jean Spencer. The bride, wearing white georgette and silk net veil, entered the church on the arm of her father. She carried a sheaf bouquet of lilies. Miss Winifred Philbrook (sister of the bridegroom) and Miss Maida Stacey (sister of the bride) attended the bride arid were frocked in blue and pink georgette, respectively, featuring shirred bodices. Their bouquets were composed of gladioli and hydrangea. Mr. J. Nemi carried out the duties of best man, and Mr. Allan Page (cousin of the bridegroom) was groomsman. About forty guests were entertained at a reception held at the White Rose Cafe. The bride's mother, frocked in floral georgette and cream hat, received the guests. A navy and white toilette was chosen by the bridegroom's mother. On leaving for the honeymoon, Mrs. A. K. Philbrook wore tailored pink linen suit with white accessories.1'

      Violet May Parker also went by the name of Pat.1 Her married name was Philbrook.1 She was born circa 1924. She married Clive Thomas Philbrook, son of Thomas Philbrook and Sarah Kezia Wright, on 29 October 1949 at Methodist Church, Nambour, Queensland, Australia.1 Violet May Parker and Clive Thomas Philbrook had their wedding reported in Nambour Chronicle and North Coast Advertiser of 29th November 1949:- 'WEDDINGS Philbrook— Parker. In the Nambour Methodist Church on October 29 the Rev. S. G. Munro officiated at the marriage of Violet May (Pat), second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. Parker, to Clive Thomas, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Philbrook, of Bli Bli. Entering the church on the arm of her father, the bride wore a beautifully cut frock of silk tulle over satin, with an allover lace bodice and very full train, to which she added a silk embroidered tulle veil held in place with a tatted coronet. The bride carried a shower bouquet of arum lilies, roses and carnations. Miss Dorothy Frances, who attended the bride, chose a powder blue lace and tulle over satin frock made on the same lines as the bride's frock, with a tulle headdress held in place with pink carnations. Her bouquet was composed of pink roses and carnations. Mr. Edward Chapman carried out the duties of best man. The reception was held in the Diggers' Club Room, where the bride and bridegroom's mothers received over 50 guests. For travelling to Katoomba and Sydney, the bride chose a reseda green moss crepe frock featuring a fichu bodice, to which she added brown accessories. The couple will reside in Nambour.1'

Niemi' on 17 May 1912.3 He lived between 1934 and 1980 at Queensland, Australia; and he was a farmer.4 He married Winifred Sarah Philbrook, daughter of Thomas Philbrook and Sarah Kezia Wright, on 20 March 1940 at Methodist Church, Bli Bli, Nambour, Queensland, Australia.1,5,6 Jalo Hemmingi Niemi and Winifred Sarah Philbrook had their wedding reported in Nambour Chronicle and North Coast Advertiser of 29 March 1940 :- 'BIBLE PRESENTED TO BRIDE. Niemi-Philbrook Wedding. The Bli Bli Methodist Church was artistically decorated in pink and white on Wednesday, 20th March, when Miss Winifred Philbrook (Bli Bli), was married to Mr. Jack Niemi, only son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Niemi, also of Bli Bli. The Rev. E. J. Taylor officiated, and Mrs. Taylor, who presided at the organ, rendered a solo. Wearing a street-length frock of ivory georgette featuring a cummerbund effect, with a tucked skirt, the bride was given away by her father. Her posy was composed of frangipani, roses, and bouvardia. Both the bride and bridegroom were unattended. The bride also wore a gold ring be longing to her grandmother, Mrs. R. F. Wright, of Sydney. At the conclusion of the ceremony, Mrs. F. Perren presented a Bible to the bride on behalf of the Ladies' Church Help Society, to mark the first wedding in the church. A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents, where a number of close friends were entertained. The feature of the table was a two-tier wedding cake. On leaving for the honeymoon, which is being spent touring New South Wales, Mrs. J. Niemi added a black edge to edge coat to her wedding frock.1'
