St Anne's Anglican Cemetery, Easton's Corners, Wolford, Grenville, Ontario, Canada

Easton's Corners, population 120, is located in the United Counties of Leeds & Grenville in Ontario. Once a thriving community of 3200, it was first settled by Joseph Easton, a late United Empire Loyalist, who received a Loyalist grant of 1000 acres from the British government in the 1792. The post office opened in 1845, and the first postmaster and the hotel owner were members of the Easton family. Located in the township of Wolford, it now is part of Merrickville-Wolford, a village-status municipality which was incorporated in 1998. Today, the local economy is dependent upon tourism, and is well known for its local crafts people and artists.

Wolf Island, the largest of the Thousand Islands, is located at the entrance to the Saint Lawrence River in Lake Ontario. The First Nations people called the island "Ganoukouesnot", meaning "long Island Standing Up". In 1792 Governor Simcoe proclaimed that it would be renamed in honour of the British General, James Wolfe. Wolf Island is a popular summer vacation destination, and has been designated an Important Bird Area by BirdLife International. Wolf Island is the site of the Wolfe Island Wind Project, a wind farm, consisting of 86 wind turbines.
