Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, population 34,000, is situated in the centre of the province, on the banks of the North Saskatchewan River. It was founded by Rev James Nisbet, a Presbyterian minister who established a mission for the Cree First Nation, and named the settlement for the consort of Queen Victoria.
