Ann Maddox and Thomas Mercer Swan were my 4th Great Grandparents. Ann was the daughter of William Maddox and Sarah Ford. She was born on March 18, 1769, in Piccawaxon which was located in the William & Mary Parish of Charles County, Maryland. She was the granddaughter of Notley Maddox and Mary Warren. Thomas Mercer Swann was the son of Samuel Swann and Catherine Dent. He was born about 1776 in Charles or St. Mary’s County, Maryland.
Much has been researched and written on the Maddox and Swann families of southern Maryland by others. However, the contents of this website are the results of my research.
