She is believed but not proven to have married Isaac Alford of Franklin Co., NC, son of John Alford and Chloe Pope, circa 1795? at Halifax Co., NC). Alice was orphaned and chose her brother-in-law (who was her cousin) James Wright, who was married to her sister Nancy Wright, as her guardian. James and Nancy moved to the part of Williamson Co., TN, which became Maury Co. ca 1808. James died there and Nancy returned to NC, both leaving wills. Isaac Alford went to Williamson Co., TN ca 1817-1818, then followed his son Winfield Alford to Texas by Dec 1839, the date Isaac applied for a Land Grant. (See ALFORD Descendants. 2. Wingfield2 Wright Jr. (Wingfield, #4) was born circa 1740? He married Patience Nicholson (see #3), daughter of Lemuel Nicholson and Patience Wright, between 1752 and 1753 at York Co., VA. He died circa Nov 1785 at Halifax Co., NC; when guardians appointed for his children.
