(1) 1 Antoine Dolvida Dorais Birth abt 1860, St. Jean Chrysostome, Beauharnois Co., Quebec, Canada Alias David Antoine moved to Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin sometime prior to 1880. I'm not sure if he came with other family or by himself. At that time, Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin had the world's largest lumber mill. He was a laborer according to the birth certificate of one his kids. He Married a local girl, Malvina Murphy. Sometime around 1905, David abandoned the family, perhaps due to lack of work. It is believed he moved to California. He was never heard of again.

(2) 1.2 Charles Emile Dorais Birth 2 Jul 1891, Chippewa Falls, WI Occ Football Coach Alias Gus Charles "Gus" Dorais attended the University of Notre Dame and graduated in 1914 with a law degree. He was my grandfather. He enjoyed notoriety as the famous Notre Dame football quarterback that played with Knute Rockne. He spent most of his life in the midwest. He coached at Loras College, Gonzaga University, Notre Dame, University of Detroit and the Detroit Lions. He married Viola Fettgether of Dubuque, Iowa in 1918. They had five children. All the children lived in the midwest

(2) 1.4 Flora Dorais Birth 1895 Flora Dorais married a shoe salesman in Milwaukee and lived there all her life.
