News from New Zealand
Just a short note to bring you up to date with our Family increases. The latest is a Great Granddaughter born to Paul & Hannah Morrison on the 13th Nov 2007 in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. Weight 8lb 2oz. We went for a trip to see them all, especially little Mia. Hannah is the eldest daughter of Peter and Julie.
I think I sent you the details of Timothy John Denby, born 15th July to Ann-Maree & Gavin. Our family now consists of 10 Grandsons & 10 Granddaughters, 2 Great Grandsons & 5 Great Granddaughters.
We are well and trust that you are also. Our weather is now starting to get the summer warmth which we are looking forward to.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year.

Syd and Jean Rubie

Congratulations on having such a wonderful family.

News from New Jersey
The only new development on my front is that I now have a website www.andrewmaishman.com complete with a link to my mini-documentary made in 2003 and a page dedicated to my Paint Your Peace workshop activity. Hope that helps, keep up the good work.

Best regards, Andrew

News from Norfolk Island
My brother Mike and another policeman friend did a whirlwind trip around the world in Sept/Oct taking in the football games as they went and finishing off at the Oktoberfest where they met up with Philippa and Nathan, (Mike’s son), who were on their way to London. Nathan has since been to Chile I think to be best man at his mate’s wedding.
I have just been to Brisbane for two weeks with Fiona and David and Ella, Fem and Jani and baby brother Harrison as they won’t be coming to Norfolk for Christmas this year.
Nathan and Philippa got engaged this year and are set to be married next year.

All the very best for Christmas

Patricia and Palmer (Puss) Anderson

Rita and I have had a busy year, mainly due to our membership of the Heathfield Choral Society, our church choir and attending various concerts.
Our travels this year have taken us to
several counties in Ireland and the
Highlands of Scotland (remember
Syd & Jean?). Our poor car has now
done over 114,000 miles in under 7
years. Next spring we hope to drive
down to Spain and then visit
Vancouver later in the year (we might
leave the car at home for that!).

News from Australia
We had the pleasure of meeting Sarah Rubie and her fiancé Pete who dropped in home for lunch in September. Her Dad, Steve, apparently had been nagging her to call, since she had been in Perth for some time, and it got too much for her in the end.
Retirement isn't exactly a frantic time in one's life but Margaret and I do our best with what we've got. This year there was no argument after the chance to go around the world during May/June was presented by one of our nieces. She let us have her empty apartment on New York's upper west side for a bit over a fortnight. We travelled from Perth to Dubai (4 nights) then Zurich to see friends (3 nights), Dublin (3 nights), NY, Vancouver (5 nights), Tokyo more friends (4 nights) and back to Perth via Kuala Lumpur. A most comfortable journey because the airline and our niece between them arranged limo airport/hotel/airport pick-ups throughout. Airport lounges too and no heavy bags to lug about make for a lot of relaxation. We're now keen to return to the west coast of Canada and later Japan for a detailed look in '08 and '09.
Trust everyone associated with the Maishman name throughout the world has a happy and prosperous future. To those of whom I promised a letter please hang in there a bit longer and take another breath.
With love, Noel & Margaret, Perth, Australia 2007.

Congratulations to Margaret and Noel
on their
Golden Wedding Anniversary
last January.
