Greetings from the Maishments in Canada.
In late 2010 I changed jobs, moving to a company called Saputo as Director of Corporate Microbiology. They are the largest cheese company in Canada with almost 10,000 employees. It involves a lot of travelling in Canada and also to Argentina and Germany where they have plants. My son Colin (30) recently got engaged to Courtney Druce and will get married next summer. Colin recently went back to university to get a Bachelor's degree in Education. My daughter Lisa (37) is still single and working at a hospital in Vancouver. My mother Denise recently turned 89 and is still living in her own home in Calgary. My younger brother Clive is now CEO of the Alberta Library Systems and lives near Edmonton. My older brother Douglas is a retired schoolteacher and lives in Calgary. An aunt (Beryl) is living in London. On a recent Internet search I discovered a Richard Maishment who was mentioned in land transactions in 1800 in Upper Canada, and another Maishment who was a POW in Stalag 4b in Germany during the war. It seems more archives are being opened which provide unexpected surprises.
Best Wishes to all in the New Year,
Craig Maishment
