We do not know whether Susan stayed on their property and maintained the farm, or whether there were kinfolk close by to help her for the year that William was gone.  There were no other Andersons and no Timbermans in Hancock Township in 1860.

William and Susan's children were probably all born on the home farm in Hancock Township:

i. Isaac Willard Anderson, born September 27, 1858.  He died under suspicious circumstances June 30, 1894, on the same farm on which he was born.  Buried at Majorville Cemetery.

ii. William M. Anderson, born December 29, 1860, died November 20, 1911, burial at Majorville Cemetery.

iii. Jennetta "Nettie" Anderson, born in 1867.  She died April 2, 1935, in Hancock Township and was buried at Majorville Cemetery.

iv. Charles S. Anderson, born January 25, 1869, died May 26, 1909, and was interred at Majorville Cemetery.
