Theadore Frank was the son of David Frank and Leannah Harper, both originally from Virginia. David and Leannah married in Champaign County, Ohio, in 1832, and in 1845 brought their young family to Illinois.  Theadore was born in Hancock County on August 6, 1850, presumably in the area named Hancock Township that same year.

Loven Garrett, a Kentuckian, and Nancy Jane Dungan married about May 25, 1854, in McDonough County, Illinois.  A daughter, Lillian, was born about 1855, in Macomb.  From the History & Reminiscence Of Old Macomb Cemetery by Alex Holmes, Nancy Jane "Dungen" died on June 18, 1856, at the age of 20 years and 3 months.  (In 1880 Loven, his second wife, Anna Elisa Gadd from England, and their family were living in Macomb; they were listed in the census immediately following Theadore's elder brother, Francis Marion Frank.  In several census records, Lillian's mother's birthplace was reported as England; we believe Nancy Jane Dungan was born in Kentucky.)

McDonough County marriage license #476 was issued on September 1, 1875, at Macomb to Theodore Frank, 24, of Fountain Green, and Miss Lillian Garrett, 20, of Macomb.  They were married on the following day at Macomb by Lemuel Jones, Minister of the Gospel.
Marriage License

In 1880 they were living in Hancock Township.  Theadore was a laborer, probably in the local farming community.  Five children were born to them, most likely in Hancock Township:

i. Bertha A. Frank, born in 1876.  She married Tylee Jerome Rees about 1901 in Davenport, Lincoln County, Washington.  He was born in 1869, probably in Hancock Township, the son of Russell Burrows Rees and Ann Eliza Leonard, both natives of Ohio.

Bertha died March 7, 1934, in Spokane, Spokane County, Washington.  Tylee died January 11, 1957.  They are both buried at Almira Cemetery, Almira, Lincoln County, Washington.

ii. Clarence L. Frank, born about 1880.  He died December 7, 1903, and was buried at San Francisco National Cemetery, San Francisco California.  He was serving in the U.S. Army at the time, holding the rank of Private.

iii. Edwin David Frank, born June 26, 1884, in Illinois.  He married Lucy Olive Harris in California in 1907. He died June 21, 1961, in Sacramento, California.

iv. Infant daughter Frank, burial location undetermined.

v. Infant son Frank, burial location undetermined.

Theadore died November 3, 1887, and was buried at Majorville Cemetery.
