- Born: 8 May 1829, Bethnal Green, Middlesex, England 1,31

General Notes:
George was said to have emigrated to the United States (after 1865, according to Connie Boyne-Manchee, or after 1871, according to Lyn Golden), his family to follow at a later date. Within the family, it is said that George died in Boston (or possibly Chicago). From this it would appear that George was the first (and only) Manchee to have emigrated directly to the United States from England. And if he arrived before 1880, he would be the first Manchee to have entered the United States, edging out Rev. William and family. Any information or leads would be welcomed.
Lyn and Connie are great great granddaughters of George and are also long time researchers of the Manchee name. Christine Smith, another Manchee researcher, added "Chicago" beneath her chart entry for George, perhaps as a result of Lyn and Connie's belief that he died in the United States. 71
Noted events in his life were:
• Occupation: Ship's broker for Dawson's Shipping Agency: London, Later Moved To The Southhampton Office. 67
George married Eliza Taylor on 21 Dec 1856 in Parish Church, Parish Of St Mary Southampton, Southampton.70 (Eliza Taylor was born in 1828 in Northwood, , Isle Of Wight, England and died on 14 Jan 1904.)
