Thomas M. and Vilet Susan Hollis
These are messages regarding Thomas and Susan. They could possibly the parents of our Samuel P. HOLLIS
From Holly: I came across someone with information that:
Thomas Merriman/Merrimon HOLLIS born 1803 in SC. He married Vilet Susan __ (indeed one census listed her as Vilet S., the next one as Susan) and they had the following following children: Samuel P. b. 1824 (MY HEART STOPPED!); Martha E. b. 1833; Jane b. 1837; Ellen b. 1839; David G. b. 1841; William b. 1846.
In 1850 census, these are the children listed, minus Samuel but we know he and Amanda JOHNS were already married at that time and they too are in the census a few pages away from Thomas M. and Vilet.
I find Thomas M. Hollis in the :
1850 Campbell County, Georgia census 10 District, p. 285, HH #845:

Vilet S. 45 F SC
Martha E. 17 F GA

Ellen 11 F GA
David G. 9 M GA
Wm. 4 M GA
Mary 35 F SC (don't know who this is... a sister perhaps?)
1860 Campbell County, Georgia, I find them on p. 464, HH #852, family
#757:
HOLLIS, Thomas M. 60 M (seems to have a little
trouble with his age)

This Susan V. is older than the one Holly found but the Daughters seem to fit. Cobb County is directly above Fulton Co. and Campbell Co. merged with Fulton in 1932, so it seems likely that the family could have moved just that short distance. I have checked for all the other children in Georgia but no luck.
