Charles Greenberry and Martha Taylor
I am told
that Charles was born in France and was
half French. He was a millwright by trade. He died about 1837. If
he died just after Andrew's birth, what about
Caroline?
His widow, Martha, had married
John JEAN of Lincoln County by 1850.
Martha was born about 1803 (where?) and believed
to have died August 2, 1876 in Lincoln County, Tennessee.
In the 1850 census, Martha
and John living in Lincoln County. Living with
them, are Malinda MILLS and her daughter,
Matilda Caledonia, Jerry, Green, Andrew, and Caroline
Taylor. But they moved to Madison County, Alabama by 1860 and
were living in the Hayes Store district of Madison County. According
to censuses records of his sons, Green and Jerry, Mr. Taylor was born in
Germany or Scotland.
Charles G. Taylor and Martha __ 's children:
1. Malinda 2. Jeremiah Henry 3. Charles Green 4. Andrew Jackson 5. Caroline
I found Peter
Calvin TAYLOR born about 1824, married to Lucinda
TAYLOR on September 1844 in Lincoln County, Tennessee.
Lucinda was born about 1820.
They were living in Lincoln County in the 1850 census. Later,
I found records of them in Madison County, Alabama in 1858 - 1860.
Calvin and
Lucinda were living in the 1860 Hayes Store,
Madison County, Alabama census.
Calvin is listed as
C.C. Taylor. This family was living next
to Matilda Taylor Mills' son-in- law.
Calvin's parents are online,
so is Lucinda a sibling to
Jerry and
Green?
