SamMarkerDelaware I have a Gr-gr-grandfather whose name was Samuel C. Marker.  I would
appreciate a bit of help connecting him up to his family.  Samuel was
married to Ciscella Riley and they had four known children, one of which
was my great-grandmother, Nancy Aliff Marker.

Listed below are the facts I have gathered on Samuel's family.

1.  Listed in the Historical Collections of Harrison Co., Ohio - Cadiz
Burials.  Lorenzo Marker, son of Samuel and Ciscella.  Died February
    6, 1831.  3 Months 18 days.

2.  1840 Census - Cadiz, Harrison Co., Ohio
    Samuel Marker  1  Male 40-50  1  Female 30-40  1 Female 0 - 5.

    Casper Devilblip   38  B:  VA
    Mary J             33  B:  Ohio  (She was a Grimes)
    Craven Marker      16  B:  Ohio
    Harriet Marker     12  B:  Ohio

    George Buchanan   64  Physician
    Elizabeth         55  Domestic
    Nancy Marker      21  Domestic

6.  In December 10, 1861, Craven enlisted in Co. G, 43rd Regiment Ohio
Vol. Inf.  He died on August 14, 1862 at Camp Clear Creek in
Mississippi and is buried at the Cornith, Mississippi National
    Cemetary.

7. On March 12, 1867, Nancy Aliff Marker married my great grandfather,
Wesley Hollingshead.  They went West to Nebraska and raised their
   family, never returning to Ohio.

8.  Harriet Marker married Marcus Wilson.  They had two children, Irma
and Leon Riley.  Irma married Cliff Deener and Leon Riley married a
woman named Amanda.  Neither Irma nor Leon had any children that I
am aware of.  Harriet and her children, Irma and Leon lived and died
in the Dayton/Columbus areas of Ohio.

9.  In the 1870 Census - Nebraska, Nancy (Marker) Hollingshead lists her
father's birth as being in Baden. (Germany)

10. In the 1800 Census for Kent Co., Delaware there is a Curtis
Marker family listed but I am unaware of any relationship to my
    Samuel.

11. I have one reference to a Samuel Marker serving in Captain McElroy's
Independent Rifle Company in the War of 1812.  I have not confirmed
   him as being my Samuel.

I have not tackled the court records for Harrison County during the years
1850-1860.  If Samuel and Ciscella died during those years there may be a
reference to Craven and Harriet (and possibly Nancy) being bound out or
adopted to the Devilblip/Buchanan families.

Anyone out there recognize this family?  All suggestions appreciated!
