FHL # 1052876  St. John Baptist Catholic Church, Ruthen, Westfalen

Theresia Thielmann was born Theresia Maria Catharina Thielmann on December 28, 1829 to Caspar Thielmann and Francisca Halberschmidt.  Theresia was baptized December 29, 1829 in St. Nikolaus Catholic Church in Ruethen.

Caspar and Theresia had the following children:

Theresia Thielmann died by 1882 while still in Germany.  In May of 1882, Caspar Henneböhle came to the United States aboard the N.A.S.M. Steamship Amsterdam which sailed from Amsterdam to New York.  Caspar's occupation was that of a tailor.  In 1886 he appears in the Pittsburgh, PA city directory as "Caspar Hennebacle, tailor", an odd spelling which also appears on the marriage license of one of his Pittsburgh grandaughters (Schnippert line) when refering to her mother's maiden name, Theresa "Hennebokle".

An index lookup of the 1900 US Census (performed by Mary Carr, a researcher of some families who were present in the Larrabee/Blackhawk neighborhood of Chicago before the 1871 fire, with ties to Soergenloch, Germany, and in a convoluted way may actually connect to the Sieben line, but not through any direct ties) shows a "Joseph Henebole" occupation of tailor, aged 71 years and widowed, born in Germany in April 1829, emmigrated 1888, 12 years in country, and a naturalized citizen of the US, living at 361 91'st Street in Hyde Park, the 33'rd ward of Chicago, ED 1054, page 291.  Caveat: This is a third party lookup of a secondary source indexing a source which can contain errors depending upon who submitted the information to the enumerator and how careful the enumerator was in recording those details.  When viewed alongside the other data, it would appear that this is Caspar Hennebohle and any contradictions are errors within the census source rather than with the sources which conflict.

Caspar died about 6 am on February 25, 1908 at 9408 South Chicago Avenue in Chicago, Illinois at the reported age of 78 years 11 months.  He was buried February 27, 1908 at St. Mary Cemetery.  The undertaker's report of death states that he had lived in Chicago for 20 years.  The immediate cause of death is given as "old age" with a duration of 9 months, and a contributing cause or complication of "paralysis of rt. side" is mentioned.

9408 South Chicago Avenue appears to be located at the location where South Harbor Aveneue meets South Chicago Avenue.  200 feet east on South Harbor is where Brandon Avenue meets South Harbor Avenue.  The 1935 Daily Calumet article on Frank Hennebohle gives his first business location as 9048 South Brandon Avenue.  The next location given in the article is "South Chicago and Baltimore Avenues".   Baltimore Avenue meets South Chicago Avenue about 300 feet north of the South Chicago/South Harbor Avenues intersection.  The 1900 Census, ED 1061 page 86, gives the address 9408 South Chicago Avenue for the Frank Hennebole [sic] family (although it is full of errors regarding the Hennebohle family... major errors, but the address can probably be assumed to be correct.
