Theresa came to the US about 1880-1882, perhaps about the same time her brother Frank was in Pittsburgh, PA (1880). Theresa married Jacob Schnippert and the family remained in Pittsburgh where there appears to be a variation in the spelling of the Hennebohle name. Cathy Ryan, a descendant and researcher of the Schnippert/Hennebohle union found the spelling H e n n e b o k l e as the mother's maiden name on the marriage certificate of Schnippert/Hennebohle daughter, Anna. This, by itself, could be excused as a misreading of an "h" for a "k", but the spelling is nearly duplicated in an 1886 Pittsburgh City Directory for Caspar Hennebacle, tailor, presumed to be the father of Theresa. Perhaps just a bit more guttural emphasis on the "oehl" sound.
