Dresden, Ohio is located in Jefferson Township, Muskingum County, on or near the site of the Delaware village of Wakatomika. In the 19th century Dresden was an important trading town on the Ohio and Erie Canal. A suspension bridge built by John Augustus Roebling and George Willison Adams once spanned the Muskingum River at Dresden. Dresden is the birthplace of the Longaberger Company which is famous for their handmade maple splint baskets. Today it is the largest manufactuer of handmade baskets in the United States.
Dresden Cemetery is located just off Main street in Dresden, Ohio. Map It is a very large cemetery still in use today and is very well taken care of. A very nice Veterans' Memorial is located at the front of the cemetery. Another small memorial in the cemetery is dedicated to all the pople whose gravestones or names have been lost down throught he years.

who married Salathiel Stanely.
His wife, Margaret, is buried in New Hamony Cemetery,
