1. Recollections of Earl Derickson, son of Nancy Ellen Warden Derickson, inletter written December 23, 1961, Seattle, Washington to cousin's Etheland Grover Fattig living in Cambridge, Nebraska.
        "Record of the Warden's for the Fattig Folks; Samuel Warden andfamily sold out in Zanesville, Ohio and started for Iowa the spring of1851, my Mother, (Nancy Ellen Warden) was a daughter she was 4 years oldyougest of the family. They went by covered wagons, grandfather and 3married sons. I think one daughter died in Ohio. Grandfather andGrandmother Warden 5 sons. John, Issac, James they were the married sonsthen Daniel and George, the daughters Jane, Trisa and Nancy EllenWarden. Daniel Warden was father of the Fattig children's mother.
        The Daniel Warden family was one son Samuel. Mahaley, Ora and MaryJane Warden. Sam married a girl by name of Clark. Mahaley married amany by name of Miller, Ora married a man by name of Hartley and to besure Mary Jane Husband was Charley Fattig.
        I have the Derickson's family record complete with birth and deathrecord. Dwight Derickson married Nancy Ellen Warden on January 25th.1866 at the Samuel Warden home 4 miles south of Madrid, Iowa. To thisUnion was born 8 sons 3 daughters. 3 sons and 3 daughters lived to begrown. Father passed away at age of 69 years and mother little past 86years of age. I am the only one of the family that is living, now 82years old.
        My father was a Civil War soldier served 3 years. Also had 3brothers in service. One brother starved to death in Andersonvilleprison. Isaac, James, Daniel and George Warden were also Civil WarVeterns." "By Earl Derickson" /signature/
