         Harold graduated from Kingston the spring of 1912, a 3 yr highschool.
         Went to Missouri University - graduated or got deploma orcertificate 1920.
         Opal Davis was graduated from University 1920.
         Harold McKinnie by his grandma Fort, though his political mindedRepublican grandpa Fort wanted it "Harold McKinley". He was a beautifulbaby with large dark eyes and light hair. The pride and joy of hisgrandfather.
         Harold was ready to start to High school in fall of 19009 but didnot want to go so far as to Hamilton. Grandma Fort offered to go toKingston and keep house if Fay would change and go to Kingston. EveryFriday nite some one was there waiting to take them to the country.Harold graduated from Kingston High School in spring of 1912. Haroldwent to Hamilton to the 4th year of High Schooland graduated in spring1913. Got his teachers certificate in the summer and tauaght at Houghtonin the fall.
         Harold decided he wanted to go to the Columbia University, Missouri,so Tom & Jesse agreed to lend him money. Extra farm land was rented tothe west and Harold and Russell did a lot of work that summer.
         Harold was at the University 1916, Waar in Europe had involved theUnited States. Harold went back to school with the idea of enlisting inwhatever service would enable him to use the training he had received inEntymology. He was soon in uniform in rural Missouri and Illinois oncontrol of pests. In 1918 Harold was in the Army Medical Corps,stationed in Georgia doing research on causes of Flu. The epidemic wasvery bad, great numbers of soldiers died in camp.
         Harold went to Washington State to help in the apple harvest, 1919.Opal Davis, her brother, Erly, who also attended Missouri University, hadgone in the spring to run an orchard their farther owned. Harold andOpal were married that next spring March 16, 1920. Harold, Opal and thegirls home for Christmas 1923. They drove their Model T sedan.
