1. Ethel Fattig Collectin      Fay was round faced, straight haired, and eyes not quite as blue asher sister Mabels'. First was called Pha Irene but Mabel made such a"Whiney" sound of Irene that they dropped Irene and substituted Estelle,after Harrys' sister. The spelling was later changed to Fay, Alice hadread a novel in which the heroine was "Pha".      Fay started to High School at Hamilton, MO in the fall 1907.Changed to Kingston High School in 1909 as Harold did not go toHamilton. Fay graduated from Kingston High School in Maqy 1910. andstarted teaching school in fall of 1910 at the Harrison School a milenorth of Hendall Chapel. She boarded with Mabel and George.      Fay went to Mirabile over a weekend and brought home the ScarletFever.      Fay went to Kinston to teach seventh and eighth grades in fall of1913. She and Marie kep house in the east half of the Old Brick. Mariewas a senior that year.      Fay was married Aug 10, 1914 to A. E. Malotte who had been teachingat Kingston the last four years. They went to live at Edgerton, MO whereEdd was school Superintendent.      War broke out in Europe August, 1914.      Laura Elizabeth Malotte was born at Edds' sisters, Laur Armstrong atTrimble, MO. Edd, Fay and two children in Sep of 1917, moved to QueenCity in northeast Missouri where Edd was Superintendent of schools. Theyspent most of July and August on the farm. Beth was a small baby, alwayshungry and "squally". Teddy, just past one year was tlking a little, waseveryone's pet, friendly and happy.      Fay and Edd moved their furniture into the King house which Tom andJesse had bought, they were going to Stewartsville in the fall, could notget a house there at the time summer of 1920 where he was superintendentof schools. In the spring of 1921 they moved to Plattsburg whre Edd tookover as superintendent in the fall. The Malotts moved to Washington asEdd had a job as Superintendent of the Manson, Washington schools in fallof 1921. The Malotts, homesick for Missouri, returned last week ofNovember 1922. Edd went to school at Maryvilled for the winter andspring terms. Fay and children stayed with Alice and over at the Aunts.
