Caroline McGee       }This indenture made and entered into this the 11th day of 
March 1872, between Bennett Blankenship of the County of white and State of 
Tennessee and Caroline McGee of the County and State aforesaid Witness to that 
for and in consideration of the Sum of Four Hundred Dollars in hand paid, the 
receipt is hereby acknowledged, p.424 the said Bennett Blankenship has this day 
bargained and Sold and by these presents doth bargain Sell and convey unto the said 
Caroline McGee her heirs and assigns forever, the following described tract or 
parcel of land lying and being in the County of White, State of Tennessee in the 6th 
Civil district of Said County, on the waters of Rum Creek, Containing Thirty Four 
Acres and Seventy One poles, and bounded as follows. To wit: Beginning on a 
stake, two post oaks, black oak & black jack pointers, about two poles West of the 
Kentucky road it being the Southeast corner of a tract of land entered in the name of 
J. D. Irwin, thence West with a line of the Same 137 � poles to three hickories from 
one root, Irwin's Corner, thence North with another of his lines 74 poles to a rock 
and pointers in McGee's line about three poles East of Williams' Branch, thence 
West with Said line crossing Branch, at four poles in all 73 poles to a post oak 
Spanish oak and post oak pointers on a hill Side, McGee's Corner, thence South on 
McGee's line 54 poles to a hickory and Small dogwood post oak and hickory 
pointers, thence East 1 1/4 poles to a dead post oak two hickories and black oak 
pointers another of McGee's corner, thence with a line of the Same, South Crossing 
Williams Branch at 26 poles, in all 28 poles to a Stake Walnut, Sassafras & Maple 
pointers another of McGee's corners thence East on a line of the Same 79 poles to a 
Stake & pointers, another of McGee's Corner thence South on a line of the Same 32 
poles to a black oak and three black oak pointers, Johnson's Corner, thence East on 
his line crossing the Kentucky road at 78 poles in all 80 poles to a stake and three 
post oak pointers, two poles from the 15 Mile post from Rock Island on Said road, 
thence North Crossing Said road, in all 40 poles to the beginning, to have and to 
hold, the same to the Said Caroline McGee her heirs and assigns forever. I do here 
covenant with the Said Caroline McGee that I am lawfully Seized of Said land have 
a food right to convey them, and that the Same is unencumbered. I do further 
Covenant and bind myself my heirs and representatives to warrant and forever 
defend the title to the Said Caroline McGee her heirs and assigns against the lawful 
Claims of all persons whatsoever - Witness my hand and Seal the day and date 
above written.

personally acquainted and acknowledged the due execution of this within Deed of
