We the undersigned freeholders being unconnected with the parties either by 
affinity or consanguinity and entirely disinterested, after having been 
summoned and duly sworn as a Jury to allot and set off to Margaret Pirtle 
widow of  Foster Pirtle her deceased husband, her Homestead out of the real 
estate of said deceased.  After duly considering and fully understanding the 
whole matter.  We set apart to the said Margaret Pirtle for her Homestead the 
following described tracts of Land with the erection and improvements 
thereon, to wit: Three tracts of Land in the 5th Civil District of White 
County.
	First tract containing by estimation 229 Acres and bounded as follows: 
Beginning at a post oak Hooper's North West corner of his 200 Acre Survey, 
running South on his line 47 poles to a sweet gun.  Thence West 110 poles to 
two post oaks.  Thence North crossing the Carthage Road at 100 poles in all 
172 � poles to a maple, gun and white oak.  Thence East passing Crowder's 
corner at 68 poles and with his line in all 283 poles to a rock Crowder's 
corner.  Thence South with his line 72 � poles to a rock in said line.  
Thence West 33 poles to a black oak and hickory pointers.  Thence S. 35  W.  
with a drain 66 poles to a post oak and post oak pointers.  Thence N. 85  W. 
105 poles to the Beginning.
	Second tract containing by estimation 50 acres and bounded as follows: 
Beginning on a rock and pointers Crowder's North West corner, running North 
Heifner's line 28 poles to two small gums in a Swamp Heifner's corner.  
Thence West with his line through a Swamp 118 poles to a stake and pointers.  
Thence South 14 � poles to a stake and pointers.  Thence East 94 � poles to a 
white oak.  Thence South 132 poles to two swamp oaks.  Thence West 90 poles 
to a post oak.  Thence South 34 poles to a swamp oak and gun.  Thence East 68 
poles to a maple and post oak.  Thence North 34 poles to a stake.  Thence 
East 22 poles to two swamp oaks.  Thence North 80 poles to a stake and 
pointers.  Thence East 23 � poles to a stake and pointers.  Thence North 90 
1/4 poles to the Beginning.  The above described boundaries includes and 
excludes twelve and a half acres leaving a balance of 37 � acres.
	Third tract containing 66 acres and bounded as follows: Beginning at a 
white oak running West 80 poles to a stake.  Thence South 132 poles to a 
stake.  Thence East 89 poles to two swamp oaks.  Thence North 130 poles to 
the Beginning.  Including the late residence of the said Foster Pirtle 
deceased.  Which in our opinions constitutes a Homestead worth not more than 
one thousand Dollars.
