Dugal MCQUEEN was born in Corybrough, on Findhorn River, Inverness Shire, Scotland. He died about 1747 in Carroll Co., Maryland, USA. Dugal married Grace BROWN.

Dugal MacQueen was born and raised in the Highlands of Scotland. He was thought to have live d in Strathdearn at Corryborough on the Findhorn River near Inverness. Dugal and the Highland ers believed that James of the Royal House of Stuart should be the King of Great Britain, s o they started the Jacobite Rebellion of 1715.
On November 14, 1715 Dugal was captured at the Battle of Preston by the English, tried a t Carlisle and sentenced to transportation. On August 20, 1716 Dugal arrived at Baltimore, Ma ryland on the Friendship of Belfast commanded by Michael Mankin and sold into seven years ind entured servitude to William Holland, Esq. His seven years of servitude should have been comp leted in 1723. Dugal named some of his children the same as William Holland's family, Franc is, William and Thomas was the name of Holland's sons. They must have gotten along pretty g ood during Dugal's servitude.
In 1732 Dugal was a taxpayer in the Upper 100 of the Cliff, Calvert County, Maryland. O n September 2, 1740 he received a land deed from the county court of Charles County, Marylan d for seventy-two acres called Cranberry Plains located in Baltimore, County, now Carroll Cou nty near Westminster, Maryland.
On March 26, 1746 Dugal signed his will in Baltimore County and it was filed in 1746 . A copy can be found at the Hall of Records, Annapolis, Maryland, will book 25, pages 10 an d 11.

Grace BROWN died not known. She married Dugal MCQUEEN.

Thomas #1 was killed by Indians during Pontiac's War at the Great Cove in Fulton County , Pennsylvania around November 13, 1763. He left a widow and seven small children. It is thou ght his widow may have remarried to a William West, a trader on the Ohio River around Wheelin g, West Virginia.

Elizabeth BERRY died not known. She married Thomas#1 MCQUEEN before 1756.

Benjamin is found in the 1790 Madison Co, Ky Census from a 1789 tax list . He is also in the 1800 Barren Co, Ky Census. On July 26, 179 6 Benjamin made a land entry in Green Co, Ky on the east side of Russell's Creek, Certificat e No 61. The inventory of Benjamin's estate is entered in Green Co, Ky Will Book 1, pp 55 -56 on Feb 16, 1801.

William had 35 1/2 acres surveyed in Baltimore Co, Md on Mar 27, 1761 on the east side of the Great Falls of Patapsco Creek, it was caled McQueen's Choice. (Unpatented Certificate of Survey, 969) On Feb 2, 1796 William (I or II ?) deeded McQueen's Choice to Elias Raughter when he lived in Washington Co, Pa. Henrietta died not known. She married William MCQUEEN I.

Thomas McQueen #2 was born Dec. 2, 1761 at Fox's Thicket in Baltimore County, Maryland, now C arrol County near Westminster, Maryland. He lived there and in Pennsylvania and Virginia, no w West Virginia, near Wheeling until the Revolutionary War.
During the war Thomas served as a ranger around the Ohio River and in militias of Washin gton County, Pennsylvania In March of 1782 Tom took part in the Gnadenhuetten Massacre of 8 8 Moravian Indians in the state of Ohio. In May 1782 Tom and 400 men left the Mingo Bottoms o n Crawford's Campaign to the Sandusky River in Ohio where they were defeated and Col. Crawfor d was captured, tortured and burnt at the stake. Tom was also captured and his younger brothe r Daniel, was killed. He was with the Indians for about a year, when he escaped but was recap tured by the Indians and taken to Detroit, Michigan and sold to the British. He was held ther e until the end of the war, returning to the Mingo Bottoms in 1784.
Tom was married in Culpepper County, Virginia in 1785 and lived there until 1789 when h e went to Madison County, Kentucky. He lived in Mason County, Kentucky around 1800 and in Pen dleton County, Kentucky in 1810. He bought 320 acres in Franklin County, Indiana in 1811 an d sold it by 1813. Tom was shown in the 1818 Census of Jackson Co, Ill with 2 white males 2 1 and over and 7 other whites. Two of Tom's sons bought land in Bartholomew County, Indiana i n 1820 and 1821, But Tom doesn't appear here until 1830.

Thomas McQueen appears in the 1819 Territory of Missouri Tax List for Montgomery County, whic h after Missouri becomes a state becomes Callaway County. Thomas then appears with two of hi s son-in-laws in the Callaway County Tax List of 1823 as a resident. The two son-in-laws ar e Thomas G. Lee and Moses Joiner.

Also appearing in the 1819 Territory of Missouri Tax List for Montgomery County are two Brown s, William and Joshua which may be the sons of George Brown. William later becomes Tom McQuee ns son-in-law when he marries Debora McQueen in Indiana.

Sarah Wilson VAUGHN [Parents] was born about 1769 in New Jersey, USA. She died 10 Sep 1838 in Bartholomew Co., Indiana, USA and was buried 1838 in Liberty Cem Barth Co, In. Sarah married Thomas#2 MCQUEEN on 1785 in Culpepper Co., Virginia, USA.
