Research: OBIT "He sudden death of Ernest McClure from pneumonia at the home of his grandmother, Mrs. McClure on Thursday morning, January 31st, came as a great shock to villagers. Ernest would have been fifteen years old on April 11th. He had been feeling unwell for a few days but no one thought him so ill as to warrant calling a doctor. It was around 8am when he was discovered dead on his bed. He leaves to mourn his loss his father, Mr. William McClure of Prince Albert; four sisters, Marguerite, Melfort; Valeria, Ethelton; Emerald, Pathlow; Muriel, Codette; and three brothers Kenneth, Hudson, Ontario; Cameron, Pathlow; Nickie, Codette; and other relations. The funeral took place from St. Andrew's United Church, Kinistino, at 2pm on Saturday, February 2nd with Reverend W. E. Jackson, B. A., L. Th. conducting the service. The centre of the church held the mourners, members of the Kinistino Boy Scouts Troop, Kinistino Boys' Junior Orange Lodge, No. 92, and Sunday School of which bodies the deceased was a member. The following hymns wer sang in church. "What a Friend we have in Jesus", "Safe in the arms of Jesus", and "Abide with me". The remains were then taken to the cemetery followed by sorrowing relatives and friends. Pallbearers were picked from the junior organizations to which the deceased belonged and were as follows: Ernest Gillanders and Morley Thompson (Kinistino Boys' Orange Lodge), Chas Campbell and Tony Campbell (St. Andrew's Sunday School). At the close of the committal service an Orange collar was placed on coffin by the Worthy Chairman, Thomas McFarlane, of the Kinistino Boys' Orange Lodge, No. 92. Kinistino Cemetery buried in Lot 3 range 8, plot 5. There is no plaque. His body is between Bert Hendricks baby and Atkin baby. To the west of him is Mrs. J. Baillie.
