These are my great-great-great grandparents, Hons and Mary Shult. Their names prior to moving from Sweden to the United States were Hans and Coysa Marie Skold. The entire family seems to have Americanized their names upon emigrating.
Hons and Mary lived in Orion, Illinois at the time this picture was taken. Their sons maintained the family farm that Hons had built over his lifetime, and Hons acted in a supervisory role.
