A Gentle Man
As a young he took a woman to be
his wife.
Together they had a family of eleven
sons and three daughters.
When time passed and they had
grown,
the grandchildren came to bless his life.
He was a gentle man !
He provided a place to always
call home,
Food on the table was shared by family and friends.
He was a gentle man !
His love for sports was known by
all,
hunting, fishing, hockey, baseball, bowling,
and shuffleboard to name only a few.
He was a gentle man !
He may not have always been able
to say the words, "I love you",
But from the sparkle in his eyes
and in our hearts we knew.
He was a gentle man !
He lived his life the way he
wanted,
No harm to others was ever meant.
He was a gentle man !
He will always be remembered for
the gentle man he was,
His memory and spirit will always be with us.
He was our Dad !
