Wedding Announcement in the London Times

Mr. Robert Bernays, M.P., and Miss Nancy Britton

Mr. Robert Bernays, M.P., youngest son of the late Prebendary S. F. L. Bernays, rector of Finchley, N., and of Mrs. Bernays, was married in Bristol Cathedral, yesterday, to Miss Nancy Britton, only daughter of the late Mr. G. B. Britton, of Pucklechurch, Gloucester. It was the first wedding in the Cathedral for 37 years.

Among the officiating clergy were the Bishops of Bristol (Dr. Woodward) and Salisbury (Dr. Lovett).

Mr. Walter Elliot, M.P., was best man.

The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. I. H. Britton, had one little bridesmaid, Miss Veronica Bernays, the bridegroom's niece.

Among the guests were:
Mr. Ernest Brown, Minister of Health, and Mrs. Brown, Mrs. Walter Elliot, Mr. William Mabane, M.P., the Hon. Harold Nicolson, M.P., Gen. Sir Hugh Elles, Regional Commissioner, and Lady Elles, Lady Apsley, Lady Gilmore, Sir John and Lady Inskip, Mr. F. O. Wills, Mr. Percy Cann, chairman of Bristol North Liberal Association, Mr. F. M. Burris, president Western Counties Liberal Federation.

Members of the American Red Cross and Girl Guides also attended.
