Gardner L. Friedlander � 1990, 2000

Milwaukee Volunteer Commissioned Officer

Gardner Friedlander, 2429 N. Summit Av., who volunteered for the army Mar. 28, 1941, has received a reserve commission as a second lieutenant in the army signal corps.

Friedlander is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Friedlander. His father is vice-president and general manager of the Phoenix Hosiery Co.

Lieut. Friedlander has been a private with headquarters battery, 1st battalion, 121st field artillery, Camp Livingston, I.a. His commission was effective Sunday, when he was discharged to enter upon the new assignment. He has been re-assigned to the signal corps station at Fort Monmouth, N.J.
