BRIGHT, F. J.

F.J. Bright, b. Lanark Co., 1832. He came to Arthur Tp. in 1855, when a child, with his father, and nine other children, and is the only one left in this part of the country. He, purchased the shares of the other members of the family in the homestead, 100 acres, lot 6, 0. S.R., and his sons added 100 acres.

He is a shrewd business man, and has been very successful, and has made nearly all of his property by his own efforts, without assistance from others.

He operates the road grader, and invests in anything that he can see a profit in. Mr. Bright is held in the highest esteem, and his word is considered as good as his bond. He is a Methodist and a Conservative.

In 1886 he m. Amelia Wheeler. Issue: Edna, Harold and Ruby.
