FORSTER. M., M.D.,

Dr. Forster of Palmerston, was born in Toronto Township in 1831, and raised there. He received his medical education at the Medical Branch of Victoria College, known as the Rolph School, and commenced the practice of medicine in Erin, in 1865.

A few years later he moved to Thorndale, where he practiced his profession for fourteen years, being Coroner of Middlesex County ten years, and also local Supt. of Schools for W. Nissouri.

In 1884 he came to Palmerston, opened a drug store which he placed in charge of his son, James E. Forster, devoting his own time to his practice. He received the appointment of Coroner for Wellington Co. in 1894, which position he retains, although he has as much as possible retired from active business.

He married on July 26th, 1854, Elizabeth Williams, of Glen Williams, Halton Co.

One son, Dr. F. J. R. Forster, is a specialist in diseases of eye, ear, nose and throat, in Toronto; one daughter married Rev. T. Albert Moore, Gen. Secy. Lord's Day Alliance; one daughter married George F. Stewart, of the Deaf and Dumb Institute, Belleville, and one unmarried daughter, lives at home.

Dr. Forster is a member of the Methodist church, and one of the leading citizens of Palmerston.
