WINFIELD, JOHN C.

The late John C. Winfield, of Pilkington, was b. in Leeds, Eng. And d. in 1901, at the age of 73. He came to Canada, and set. in Pilkington, wherehe cleard up 150 acres of bush. He was a Methodist, and a Liberal. He m. Mary Franklin, who is living at the age of 69, Issue: Robert P., m. Miss Penfold, and set. in Pilkington; Mrs. Geo. Beal, set. in Peel; James, m. Miss Ariss, set. in Guelph; John, m. Mrs. Stangways, set. in Dawson City; Ezra, in the N.W.; and Mrs. Wm. Watson, set. Emerson, Man.

Theodore, son of the late John C. Winfield, owns the farm of 68 acres lot 11, con. A, Pilkington, where he carries on mixed farming, and feeds stock for export. His land is in food state of cultivation and like his father he is a successful farmer. He is a Methodist, and a Liberal, and holds the office of School Trustee. He m. Miss Beal. Issue: William, Wesley, Gordon, Melvin, May, Ada, and Irene.
