Acording to L&L in VA. book, Mary lived in his father's household. Herbrother, Inman Murphy, also lived

Died during the Revolutionary War battle fought on the premises of hismill,
near Cane Creek MM.
It was said the family tended the wounded and that he died of the shockof the
day.
James & Eleanor came to America from Leinster, County Wicklow, IRE
and were English or Scottish. They were some of the
founders of New Garden Meeting in PA.
