Ebenezer Methodist Church Cemetery Readings, August, 1972
Green Township (Hamilton County, Ohio), corner Bridgetown and Ebenezer Roads

Presently Oak Hill United Methodist Church
Once called Wilke Memorial Methodist Church
First known as Ebenezer M.E. Church

The original burying ground was re-arranged, the stones moved, than a
new church was built. Broken and illegible markers were removed and the
legible tombstones preserved. In an article in the Cincinnati
Times-Star in 1936, Marie Dickore, genealogist stated there were 530
graves in Ebenezer Cemetery. No doubt there were many burials without
markers. This writer copied the existing inscriptions in August 1972.
The cemetery was established as early as 1820 according to information
found on some of the old stones. M.B.B.
