42. Caleb Tate FURR⁽⁶⁾ was born on 10 Sep 1817 in Hall Co,GA. He died on 16 Oct 1898 in Higdon,Marshall,MS. Per Furr family record:
"C.T. Furr and Hester A. Knapp were married by Judge Tell Yancy, in Holly Springs, Miss., on the 28th day of April 1850, A. D.
Caleb T. Furr was born in Hall County, Georgia, September 10, 1817.
Caleb T. Furr departed this life at his home in Marshall County, Mississippi, at one o'clock P.M. on Sunday the 16th day of October. In his 81st year."

Caleb T. Furr, born 1817, came from Georgia in 1844 to Holly Springs, Mississippi, bought a six horse team and a carryall and moved Dr. M. A. Simmons to Holly Springs (SIMMONS LIVER REGULATOR) after hauling a crop of cotton to Memphis for Lige McKee. He sold his team and kept books for Winn and Watts Shoe Store. He married Hester Knapp. They were married in Holly Springs the 28th day of April 1850 by Judge Till Yancey. Caleb T. Furr was a captain in the Mexican War. He was a jailer for the Holly Springs Jail at one time. He bought 160 acres of land in 1862 in Marshall County on the north side of Chewalla Lake and sold it the same day (S.8, T.4, RIW). The land now belongs to the state. He died October 16, 1898. I have the telegraph sent from Holly Springs to Hickory Flat with the news of his death.
He was married to Hester Anne Rodgers KNAPP on 28 Apr 1850 in Holly Springs,Marshall,MS.

43. Hester Anne Rodgers KNAPP was born on 5 Feb 1831 in Hanover Co,VA. She died on 4 Oct 1909 in Near Memphis,TN. Children were:

i. Augustus Farrington FURR⁽⁶⁾⁽²²⁾ was born on 4 Feb 1851 in Holly Springs,Marshall,MS. He died on 14 Oct 1936 in Memphis,Shelby,TN. Per Furr Family Record:
"Augustus F. Furr and Elizabeth Simpson, both of Marshall County, Miss., were married December 28, 1881, by Rev. Boone."
ii. Henry Clay FURR⁽⁶⁾ was born on 6 Nov 1852 in Holly Springs,Marshall,MS. He died on 10 Aug 1926. He was buried in Ebenezer Methodist Church,Benton,MS. Per Furr Family Record:
"H. C. Furr and Lenora Whiteside, both of Union County, Mississippi, were married February 16, 1882, by Rev. Farmer."
iii. Sallie E. FURR⁽⁶⁾ was born on 22 Nov 1854 in Holly Springs,Marshall,MS. She died in 1943 in Memphis,Shelby,TN. Per Furr Family Record:
"Henry F. Anderson of Banks County, Georgia, and Sallie E. Furr of Marshall County, Mississippi, were married August 7, 1879, by Rev. Dr. Cameron."
"L. C. Street and Mrs. S. E. Anderson were married in Marshall County, Miss., October 17, 1897 by Rev. B. C. Russum."
iv. Isaac Griffith FURR⁽⁶⁾ was born on 8 Feb 1857 in Holly Springs,Marshall,MS. He appeared on the census in 1930 in Holly Springs,Marshall,MS (Dist. 1). He died after 1930. Per Furr Family Record:
"I. G. Furr and Anna Simpson were married in Marshall County, Miss., on the 7th day of February, 1894 by Rev. B. C. Gray."
v. Paul S. FURR⁽⁶⁾ was born on 9 Nov 1861 in Holly Springs,Marshall,MS. Marriage not given in Furr Family Record - found in Supplement (Albright)
vi. Hester Jane FURR⁽⁶⁾ was born on 2 Nov 1859 in Holly Springs,Marshall,MS. She died on 1 Jan 1928 in Tyler,Smith,TX.⁽²²⁾ Per Furr Family Record:
"J. N. Whiteside and Hester J. Furr were married in Union County, Miss., December 6, 1882 by Rev. Farmer."
vii. William Cicero FURR⁽⁶⁾ was born on 10 Feb 1864 in Holly Springs,Marshall,MS. He died on 29 Nov 1934 in New Albany,Union,MS. Per Furr Family Record:
"William C. Furr and Maude Snider were married in New Albany, Miss., June 3, 1893 by Rev. J. W. Honnell."

"Born 1868 in Memphis, Tenn., married Olive Gray in 1912. He works in a furniture plant and his wife teaches music. Their daughter Ruth married a Henderson, and they live with her parents. The Hendersons have two sons, one in college and one in Germany (This information dated June 1955)"
