"Not long after Thomas Becon left the village of Alsop, John died and his son, George Alsop, became the heir of the family property. He and his wife, Jane, daughter of William Eggerton of Wall Grange had as a first son, John, who married Anne, his cousin, daughter of Thomas and Ann Bassett Alsop.
The next son, Thomas Alsop of Hognaston and wife, Isabel, whose father was a Whalley of Henley in Ardern, had a son named George. Other known children of George and Jane Eggerton Alsop were George and a daughter Elizabeth, wife of Thomas Alsop."
