Fred H Wessels

BARSTOW, CA - Fred H Wessels, 81, of Barstow, died Tuesday here. He was a retired brick mason.
He was a native of llinois USA and had moved to AR while still a child. He lived near Stuttgart until he move to Barstow two years ago.
He was a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church at Stuttgart.
Surviving are two sons, warren Wessels of Omaha, Nebraska and Leland Wessels of Atlanta; four daughters, Mrs Helen Miller of Cleveland, Mrs Irene Smiley of Barstow, Mrs Lee Allen Lovoi of Cuba City, CA and Mrs Charlotte Shannon of Pine Bluff; Three brothers, Adolph Wessels and Alfred Wessels, both of Stuttgart and Oscar Wessels of Pine Bluff; two sisters, Mrs Ollie Rudowske and Katie Mommsen, both of Stuttgart; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Grave side services will be at 2. PM Saturday at Lone Tree Cemetery at Stuttgart by Turpin Funeral Home.

OBITUARY

MRS. FRED WESSELS

Mrs. Fred Wessels, aged 52, died Saturday night, October 27, 1934 at her home, after a sudden illness

Mrs. Wessels was born in Kansas, July 11, 1882. She came to AR while still a small child. In 1905 she was married to Fred Wessels.

To this union six children were born, all of whom survive: Warren and Leland, of Stuttgart; Mrs J T Hagan, Mrs. Helen Duey, Misses Charlotte, Irene and Luellan, also
of this city. She has two brothers, R. E. Slifer of Stuttgart, and Ross Slifer of Girard, Kansas, and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Johnson of Stuttgart and Mrs. Emma Lamb of Oklahoma.
Funeral services were held tuesday afternoon at thd Turppin Funeral Home. Rev. R. M. Lehew, pastor of the Grand Ave. M. E.
