Corey scott Wessels, infant son of Ralph and Cynthia Giroux Wessels, of route 2, Watseka, was pronounced dead at birth at 11:30 p.m. at Iroquois Memorial Hospital
Surviving are his parents; Paternal grandparents, Mr and Mrs Bobby Knight of watseka; maternal grandparents, Mr and Mrs Merle Giroux of Watseka; Paternal great-grandfather, Fred Wessels of Crescent City; and Maternal great-grandmother, Vera Howe of Watseka.
Graveside services were held at 11 p.m. today at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Rev Wayne Meier officiated.

Jacob Wessels
Jacob Randall Wessels, son of Ralph and Cynthia Wessels, Watseka, died at 6:45 p.m. Friday, December 2, 1983, at St. Francis Hospital, Peoria. He was born Dec. 1, 1983 at Iroquois Memorial Hospital, Watseka.
He is survived by his parents; a sister, Lacey Ann; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Knight; maternal grandmother, Opal Giroux; and paternal great grandmother, Vera Howe, all of Watseka.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Corey; maternal grandparents, Merle and Ethel Giroux; and paternal father Frederick Wessels.
Services are set for 1 p.m. Tuesday at Oak Hill Cemetery, Watseka. The Rev. Wayne Meyer will officiate.
DeValk Funeral Home, Watseka, is in charge of arrangements.

Frances Butzow, the oldest of
Anna Butzow, married Walter Wessels on Jan. 11, 1922. He died in 1991. Her children include Russell Wessels of Watseka and Irma Mueller of Gilman. A daughter, Natalie, preceded her in death.
She also has seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren
Frances M Wessels Obituary
Frances M Wessels was Bron on January 18, 1900 in Iroquois Township, near the Butzow bridge. She was the oldest of ten children born to Otto and Anna Gressaint Butzow. She was baptized as a child on April 9, 1922, Frances was confirmed here at St Peters's, her Bible verse was: Simon Peter answering him, "Lord to whom shall we go? You have the word of eternal life: John 6:68. On January 11, 1922 Frances and Walter L. Wessels were joined in Holy Marriage at the St. Peter's parsonage.
Walter and Frances' marriage was blessed with three children: Natalie, Russell and Irma. Frances was a retired school teacher, she had worked at the Chicago Store in Watseka and was a Sunday School teacher here at St, Peter's for Many years. Frances enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting.
Frances is survived by her son Russell and His wife Glendora of Watseka and his children. David and Dean Wessels and Debra Binder along with their families, Her son-in-law Wendell Mueller and his children: Lyal Mueller and their fa families.. Also surviving are Frances' Sister Helen price and sister-in-law, Helen Butzow.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Walter who passed away on September 27, 1991. She was also preceded in death by her daughters Natalie and Irma (who died only several months ago). Her brothers; Warren, Johan Henry, Robert, Donald and Fred Butzow and her sisters, Alice Burke and Ann Harris who also precede her in death,
We commend her family to the care of the one who is the Resurrection and the Life.

Rites today for Natalie R Wessels
Gilman -- Miss Natalie R Wessels, 51, of rural Gilman, died Saturday morning at Iroquois Memorial Hospital.
She was born December 4, 1925 in Iroquois Township, the daughter of Walter L and Frances Butzow Wessels.
Miss Wessels was a librarian at Carl Sandburg High School in Orland Park. She received her bachelor's and Masters degrees from llinois USA State University at Normal.
Surviving are her parents of rural Gilman, one brother, Russell of rural Watseka and a sister, Mrs Wendell (Irma) Muller of rural Gilman.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today at St John's Lutheran Church in Danford of which he was a member with the Rev R S Kolberg, pastor, officiating. Sour was in St Peter's Lutheran Cemetery in Crescent City.
Visitation was held at the Reilly Funeral Home in Gilman at 3 p.m. Sunday and for hone hour prior to the service at the church.

Darlene Ann Wessels
Darlene Ann Wessels, 67, Watseka, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1999, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
She was born Oct. 2, 1932, at Somonauk, the daughter of William and Amanda Doider Dienst.
She married Russell Wessels on March 3, 1957, at Somonauk.
Mrs. Wessels worked in the Iroquois Memorial Hospital Dietary Department.
She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Watseka, and the Church Ladies Guild and LWML.
She was also a member of the American Legion Post 23 Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, Russell, of Watseka; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Wendy Schaffer Wessels of Normal, and Dean and Becky Wessels of Bloomington; a daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Rick Bindler of Naperville; six grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Jeannene and Tom Coziahr of Yorkville; three brothers and four sisters-in-law: Margaret Dienst, Sun City, Calif., Dale and Gertrude Dienst of Somonauk, Carl and Charlotte Dienst of Williford, Ark., and Wilbur and Lois Dienst of Bradford; and many nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Fredell Dienst.
Visitation will be conducted from 4-7 p.m. Friday at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dean Bottjen officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to Calvary Lutheran Church, Prairieview Lutheran Home or to the charity of the donor's choice.
