Alicia Provost was born Feb. 25, 1981, to Irv Provost Sr. and Serena Brown. She attended school at Red Cloud and graduated from Pine Ridge High School in 1999. After graduation, she attended college at TVI in Albuquerque, N.M., and was currently taking classes at Oglala Lakota College. She was employed by the Oglala Sioux Tribe and has worked in the Secretary's office, Personnel Office and Payroll Office. At the time of her death she was employed by the Oglala Sioux Lakota Housing Finance Department. She met Vincent LeBeau in 1997 and from this union they had three beautiful children - Katelyn, Tristan and Erin. Alicia is also survived by her parents, Irv and Serena, three brothers, Charles, Irv Jr. and John Provost, and her sister, Stephanie Provost, all of Pine Ridge; grandmothers, Zona Brown, Pine Ridge, and Vestana Two Lance, Batesland; the father of her children, Vince LeBeau, Pine Ridge; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Garfield Brown Sr; her paternal grandmother, Winona (Bebe) Linehan; and aunties, Mona Hagen and Jo Two Lance. First night wake will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at Billy Mills Hall. Second night will begin at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, at Bill C. Bear Gym in Batesland. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, at Bill C. Bear Gym, with the Rev. Cordelia Red Owl, the Rev. Peter Klink and Mr. Ben Conquering Bear officiating.
