John H. Fife, a former resident of Canonsburg, died Saturday (8 Feb) morning at 8:40 at his residence in Carnegie, of cerebral hemorrhage. Mr. Fife, in partnership with his father, conducted a livery barn in Canonsburg for many years. After quitting the livery business, he removed to Carnegie, where he held a position with the Superior Steel Company. He had since been employed with that company. On Friday morning he went to work apparently in normal health. About 8 a.m. he was stricken in his office, and was removed to his home. He never regained conciousness. He is survived by his wife, one son, Harold J. Fife, at home; one daughter, Mildred J. Brown, of Duquesne and five grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Miss Maude A. Fife, Canonsburg and Mrs. J. V. Gilfillan, of Mt. Lebanon. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, at his residence, 830 Walnut street, Heidelburg.
