This morning he had eaten a hearty breakfast, and had just stepped outside the house when he was suddenly seized and fell heavily to the ground. He was lifted up and carried into the house, and word sent to Dr. Weygandt of Thomas station, but death occurred before the physician arrived, and without Mr. Roach regaining consciousness. Then the doctor arrived he pronounced the death due to apoplexy.

The deceased was a member of one of the oldest families in Peters Township, and his home was near Center Church. He is survived by his wife and three children: R. B. Roach, S. M.
